Christmas came alive in several towns across Cagayan Valley and Pampanga as colorful holiday villages, bright lights, and themed displays drew families and visitors this week.
In Lasam, Cagayan, a Singapore-inspired Christmas village is attracting large crowds. The display features “super trees” similar to those in Singapore, along with a replica of a Hobbit House. A giant Christmas tree and a tunnel of lights add to the festive scene.
The Christmas village is open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
In Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, the front of the municipal hall is filled with lights and Christmas decorations. Visitors enjoyed a lively, fiesta-style dance performance during the opening of the town’s own Christmas village.
In Pampanga, stunning Christmas pavilions created by different towns and cities are on full display at the Capitol Compound. Among the highlights are Minalin’s replica of its historic church, Masantol’s seafood-themed pavilion, Sta. Ana’s Majigangga pavilion, and Lubao’s bamboo pavilion.
Local products were also showcased, including crafts from Aeta artisans of Porac. Sto. Tomas’ pavilion, which features a coffin symbolizing the town’s main product, also caught the attention of visitors.
Crowds also flocked to the park’s food bazaar, where different Kapampangan dishes were featured.
In Tarlac, the spirit of Christmas shone bright as winners of Belenismo 2025 were honored.
In the Municipal Category, Pura and Moncada tied for first place.
The AFP Belen topped the Grand Non-Municipal Category.
