Christmas spirit is in full swing across Pangasinan, Ilocos, and Isabela as towns welcome residents and visitors with bright lights, giant displays, and festive shows.

In Tayug, Pangasinan, crowds flocked to the town’s “magical” Christmas attractions.

The area features a light-filled castle with colorful flower designs, large panda and polar bear displays in front of the municipal hall, sunflower-themed decorations, and a dancing fountain. Visitors also enjoyed performances and a fireworks display.

The Pangasinan State University in Alaminos City also lit its Christmas tree, which features a clam-shaped topper.

The school said the clam symbolizes change and the beauty it holds, like a pearl. All PSU campuses lit their trees at the same time.

In Ilocos Norte, a 40-meter giant Christmas tree now brightens the area in front of the Provincial Capitol. A giant chair and a balikbayan box beside the tree became instant favorites among children.

Before the ceremonial lighting, residents watched the “Joyful Symphony of Lights.” Laoag City Hall also lit its own giant tree, and its old building was covered with lights. Children also visited the life-sized belen and took photos. Various local products are also available for sale at the venue.

In Roxas, Isabela, residents and visitors filled the annual opening of the town’s Christmas pasyalan. The area glowed with giant decorations that, according to officials, symbolize the community’s recovery from past disasters and its renewed hope and joy this year.
