Baguio City officially kicked off preparations for the 30th Panagbenga Festival, unveiling a month-long lineup of events that organizers hope will draw thousands of visitors and celebrate the city’s culture and creativity.
Festival organizers launched Panagbenga Festival 2026 formallyon January 12, 2026, announcing that the Grand Opening Parade will take place on February 1.
Anthony De Leon, chairman of the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Inc. (BFFFI), said the opening activities will be inclusive and community-driven.
“And we have included the community, everyone is invited to join the parade,” De Leon said.
One of the most anticipated events, the Grand Street Dance Parade, is set for February 28, followed by the highlight Grand Floral Float Parade on March 1.
Organizers also announced higher prizes for this year’s competition. The top prize in the Large Float Category increased from ₱600,000 to ₱1 million, while second and third placers will receive ₱600,000 and ₱400,000, respectively.
This year’s festival will revolve around the theme “Blooming Without End,” which reflects the city’s continued growth and resilience. Baguio City Rep. Mauricio Domogan said there is still room to further enhance the festival’s cultural elements.
“Yung mga representation ng culture, even yung sa street dancing and yung prices ng float parade, a lot of them are still to be improved,” Domogan said.
Aside from the main parades, visitors can also look forward to Panagbengascapes, a landscape exhibition and design challenge, as well as the popular Session Road in Bloom. The festival will conclude on March 8 with “Flowers in the Sky,” featuring a grand fireworks display.
Organizers expect thousands of tourists to join the annual celebration, which has become one of the country’s most recognized cultural festivals.
