A lighthearted prank by a 25-year-old man from Delfin Albano, Isabela has gone viral after he pretended to sell his mother’s plants online.

Mark Fillord Gumaru caught attention after he went live on social media, joking that their family had run out of viand and was eating vegetables every day. During the livestream, he announced that he would sell his mother’s plants to buy meat.

“‘Yan guys, live na tayo. Dahil wala na kaming maulam at puro gulay na lang, ibebenta ko itong mga halaman ng aking nanay,” Mark said at the start of the video.

As the prank continued, Mark announced prices for the plants jokingly.

“P10, buy 1 take 1, tapos may free pa na ganito,” he said.

Unaware that it was only a prank, his mother confronted him quickly after seeing what he was doing.

“Hoy! Ano ‘yang ginagawa mo? Huwag mong gagawin ‘yan,” she said.

When Mark insisted, his mother became more upset.

“Bakit ko naman ibebenta? May pinaghirapan ka ba diyan?” she said.

“Bakit di ka kaya pumunta diyan sa tabi at maghukay gaya ng mga aso,” she added.

His mother continued sarcastically, “Oh eto guys, P20. Apaka galing naman kung bente pesos lang ‘yan.”

Mark explained later that the video was meant purely for fun and content creation.

“Parang nagla-live selling po ako na kunyari ganun, tapos ‘di ko akalain na ganun. Parang kinontent ko lang po ‘yun, akala niya lang po na totoo yung live selling,” he said.

According to Mark, his mother realized later that it was only a prank and calmed down, eventually, although she still reportedly does not always approves of his jokes.

The video has since gained massive attention online, reaching more than 3 million views and counting, with many netizens finding humor in the relatable family moment and playful banter between mother and son.
