A new lighted attraction at the town plaza of Binalonan, Pangasinan is drawing crowds and boosting local tourism, with visitors coming day and night to experience what residents now call a picture-perfect spot.

The attraction, called the “Thousand Flowers,” features more than a thousand artificial flower-shaped lights installed around the plaza. The display has become especially popular in the evening, when the lights turn on and create a dancing light effect that draws tourists and locals alike.

Binalonan Tourism Officer Jessica Tabilin said the attraction is open year-round and has already helped increase tourist arrivals in the town.

“Dire-diretso, all year round, puwede po talaga siyang puntahan dito. And pag gabi, iilawan po siya, dancing light po siya pag gabi. So far, malaki iyong nakita natin na increase ng pagdating ng mga tourist dito po sa Binalonan,” Tabilin said.

The “Thousand Flowers” installation surrounds the plaza, offering visitors multiple photo spots that many describe as Instagram-worthy. While the lights are a major draw at night, tourists also visit during the day.

Dexter Rivera, a visitor, said the attraction has gained attention on social media.

“Sobrang ganda po, tapos sa gabi po mas maganda po siya. Dinadayo po siya, madami nang po-post,” Rivera said.

Aside from being a visual attraction, some visitors say the plaza also offers a peaceful escape from daily stress.

“Very peaceful po dito and maganda ang pag-gala,” Kriesel Ann Echanes, another visitor, added.

Local officials hope the continued popularity of the “Thousand Flowers” will further strengthen tourism and provide residents with a relaxing public space in the heart of Binalonan.
