Sparkle artist Arabelle Dela Cruz emerged victorious in the South Korea-held international singing competition Veiled Cup.
The ‘Laguna Diva’ beat four other finalists from Thailand, Laos, and South Korea, performing a rendition of Michael Buble’s “Feeling Good’ during the show’s finale on Sunday, February 1.
The former The Clash runner-up took to social media to reflect on her victorious stint, expressing gratitude to God, her family and friends, and supporters.
“Unang una sa lahat, nagpapasalamat ako sa Panginoon na biniyayaan Nya ako ng buhay at talentong naibabahagi ko sa inyo ngayon,” penned the Laguna native, who received a total converted score of 7,137 points en route to the Veiled Cup title.
“Maraming salamat sa pamilya ko na nandyan magmula nang mag umpisa ako hanggang ngayon at walang sawang sumusuporta sa mga nais ko sa buhay, mahal na mahal ko kayo!” she added, also thanking her friends for their support.
Arabelle also shared inspiring words about her journey as a singer, reminiscing past experiences where she lost but learned invaluable lessons, for which she said she is “always grateful, and (I) will always be.”
“Marami na akong nasalihan na kumpetisyon sa buhay ko, karamihan pa roon ay hindi pinalad. Pero maraming naging aral sa akin lahat ng napagdaanan ko na yun,” she wrote.
