Balangay City High Performing Arts of Mati City and Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School-Mana Performing Arts Ensemble emerged as the top winners in the Open and Davao City School-Based categories, respectively, of Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan 2026.

Davao City Coastal Road came alive during the grand showdown of Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan evening on August 16, 2026, as thousands of Davaoeños and visitors from different parts of the country gathered to watch the performances.

Through their performances, the contingents from various city schools and those participating in the Open Category brought to life the rich traditions and mythology of Mindanao.

Balangay City High Performing Arts of Mati City emerged as the champion in the Open Category, taking home P2 million as prize.

Meanwhile, Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School-Mana Performing Arts Ensemble was named the grand champion in the Davao City School-Based Category and received a P1.7 million cash prize.

Earlier that day, the Floral Float Parade or Pamulak sa Kadayawan was also held, It featured floats adorned with vibrant decorations such as fruits and flowers, accompanied by lively music.

The parade also featured the city’s 11 ethnolinguistic groups, showcasing Davao’s rich cultural heritage and expressing gratitude for its bountiful harvest.
