Lanterns crafted by Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) in Mangaldan, Pangasinan take center stage in the town’s Christmas display this year. 

"Maraming salamat sa stars na ginawa ninyo. Maraming salamat warden. Ang Christmas lighting na ito ay para sa bayan at para sa mga nandoon sa Bonuan," said Mayor Bona Fe De Vera-Parayno during the ceremonial lighting of the town’s decorations. 

Festive decors were lit up simultaneously during the ceremony, including a towering Christmas tree, the parols crafted by the PDLs. and the nativity scene.

Residents awaited the lighting of the decors eagerly, finding joy in the sparkling and vibrant displays throughout the town.

"Masaya, paskong pasko na," said Sam Sy, a resident.

"Masaya, kahit kami lang tatlo masaya pa rin, inenjoy namin." added Angie Liza Permison, another resident.

John Christopher Caballero, also a resident, exclaimed, "Ang liwa-liwanag na ng bayan ng Mangaldan, napakaganda na!”
