Oriental Mindoro's Capitol Grounds is transformed into a festive Christmas Village, featuring impressive replicas of European landmarks, allowing locals to experience the holiday spirit abroad without leaving the Philippines.
The village showcases large-scale replicas of landmarks from England, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and more, adorned with vibrant lights and colorful displays.
Residents like Arvin Marasigan took their families to enjoy the Christmas displays.
"Masaya at naisama ko ang pamilya ko... paskong-pasko na," he said.
"Sobrang liwanag, tamang-tama para sa mga bata... enjoy naman," Elma Zamora, a visitor, added.
The Christmas Village not only offers visual delights but also features food stalls offering a variety of local products and delicacies from each represented country.
"Bawat isang bansa may kanya-kanyang produce, handicrafts, fruits and vegetables, milkshake, meron din tayo ditong fresh meat, [at] barbecue," Governor Humerlito 'Bonz' Dolor said.
The Christmas Village is also a part of the annual Salong Dagitab Festival in the province.
