A three-year-old boy was burned to death after a fire hit a residential area in Barangay Dumagoc, Pagadian City.
Authorities found the dead body of the victim identified as James Zion Rosales an hour after the fire was declared under control.
Investigators said the victim, his younger sibling, and their aunt were sleeping when the fire broke out. The aunt reportedly failed to save the victim after taking first the latter’s younger sibling out of the house.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), at least 10 houses made of light materials were razed to the ground.
The BFP is still investigating on the cause of the fire.
