A cargo vessel carrying around 170 tons of cement tilted due to bad weather condition in the waters off Bayangan Island in Zamboanga del Norte on Monday, January 15, 2024.
The Philippine Coast Guard said the vessel M/V Star Sabang left Cebu and was heading to Zamboanga.
A response team of the Coast Guard Sub-Station Salug and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office launched an operation and rescued 13 crew members of the distressed vessel.
