Three suspects in the killing of dentist and Barangay councilman, Doctor Ting Bolor, in San Vicente Centralw, Calapan were arrested by the police.
In the case of a 17-year-old suspect, it was the sibling who noticed the jewelry in his possession. Questioning led the suspect admitting to Bolor's death.
The sibling then sought help from a prosecutor who, in turn, informed the police chief.
Samuel Delorino, Provincial Director of the Oriental Mindoro PPO, said.
At least 25 assorted pieces of jewelry were recovered by authorities.
The minor would identify the two alleged accomplices subsequently.
Authorities also traced the river where the suspects disposed of the victim's cell phone and hard drive from the CCTV.
Authorities believe the suspects’ familiarity with Bolor allowed them access to his quarters.
Bolor’s family is yet to provide a statement. Investigation by the SITG-Bolor task force is also ongoing, as of this writing.
