A tricycle driver in Naga City, Camarines Sur has been prohibited to drive and may face possible charges after his alleged indecent advances on a female passenger.
The passenger managed to record the advances on camera. She said she turned her phone’s video on when the driver reached out to her shoulder.
The video made the rounds online.
“Nagpa-panic po talaga ako dae ko po aram kung anong gigibuhon ko, pero katong na-invade na si personal space ko duman sa tricycle na nag-reach out na si hand niya igdi sa may shoulder ko, duman ko na po naisipang mag-video," she said.
The driver, Allan Bautista, was turned over by his operator to the Public Safety Office (PSO). He explained that he was only joking and sought forgiveness from the victim.
"Kaya kung matawan ninda akong pagkakataon, mabago na po ako," Bautista said,
Bautista is also no longer in possession of his tricycle and is prohibited to operate.
The victim's family is considering filing charges against him.
"Kung ano man maging desisyon ng anak ko, pasensiyahan na lang tayo," the victim's father, said.
This was not Bautista's first involvement in the same incident, the PSO said.
“Pig-issuehan mi siya kang first time [nin violation kan] city ordinance Safe Spaces Act, kasi involved ang public utility vehicle, kaya covered siya digdi sa LTO and pwede siyang patawan pang revocation kang saiyang [driver’s] license, together with the franchise kang unit na pigaggamit niya,” Edith Betavara, Admin Aiede I of PSO Naga City, said.
