Six former members of the Abu Sayyaf Group have returned to the folds of the law and surrendered their guns in Sulu.
The 1101st Infantry Brigade facilitated the surrender of Leoner Sahiron, Saupar Jilan Asing, Alsid Jalaidi, Ridmar Absara Alih, Jamal Arabani Abdusail, and Aldi Hasim Minis.
The military said the surrender was made through government’s localized social integration program.
“Their decision has a positive impact on their families and communities,” 11th Infantry Division (11ID) Commander, Major General Ignatius Patrimonio, said in a statement.
