At least 33 structures in Davao region have been damaged by the massive flooding and landslides, according to the Office of the Civil Defense-Davao (OCD-11).

OCD-11 Director Ednar Dayanghirang said the damage to infrastructure has reached P2.55 million as of Monday, February 5, 2024, according to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao.

OCD-11 also said around 66 roads have remained impassable and nine bridges were damaged.

OCD-11’s running data also showed that the number of families affected by the massive flooding and landslides has reached 129,000 or more than half a million individuals from 316 barangays.

Once results of the Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) conducted by the affected local government units will come out, the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council-Davao (RDRRMC-11) will convene for a recovery cluster meeting.

Through the meeting, authorities will determine the extent of damage to agriculture, infrastructure, livelihood, and other properties, and identify the needs of flood victims.

The calamities have killed at least 16 people, as of February 4, 2024.
