Users have reported encountering problems with Meta platforms Facebook, FB Messenger, and Instagram late evening on March 5, 2024.
Media reports worldwide have posted a similar issue about the said apps.
Ookla's Downdetector.com, an online platform that monitors softwares and applications' status based on user feedback, has already reflected the outage, which appears to have begun at 11:16PM.
The platforms became accessible to several users after about an hour.
In a post on X, Meta's Andy Stone apologized for the technical issue.
"Earlier today, a technical issue caused people to have difficulty accessing some of our services. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted, and we apologize for any inconvenience," he said.
