Authorities confiscated around P14 million worth of suspected shabu in Matnog, Sorsogon during an anti-illegal drug operation.

The operation also led to the arrest of two men, including a high-value target.

The operation, conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and other collaborating units, targeted a suspect residing in Barangay Hidhid.

According to PDEA-Sorsogon, the suspects, who are from Lanao del Sur, were traveling to Samar from Metro Manila but stopped in Matnog for transactions.

During the arrest, authorities seized several tea bags labeled as 'Refined Chinese Tea' but contained the suspected shabu.

As of this writing, the suspects are in police custody.

PDEA-Sorsogon has intensified surveillance, particularly at the Matnog Port, to prevent attempts to smuggle illegal drugs into the area.
