A car climbed the paved steps of a commercial establishment in an accident in Siquijor town, Province of Siquijor.

A 17-year-old high school student was identified to have driven the car reportedly from a disco bar.

Given his age, he was driving without license. Neither was he able to present a student permit.

It was learned that while the student was plying the national highway, he hit a parked car. As he was trying to maneuver upon impact, the car moved spaces up from the rear portion and began climbing the paved steps of a commercial establishment.

Except for the abrasions they sustained, all three on board the car including the driver are out of harm’s way.

The owner of the parked car and the student agreed to a settlement.
