A drug suspect considered by police as a high-value individual in San Fernando, Camarines Sur was arrested by the Naga City Police almost a year since evading arrest. 

The arrest was made during a buy-bust operation conducted by the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit, City Intelligence Unit and Naga City Police Office (NCPO) Station 4, in KM8, Barangay Pacol, Naga City, Camarines Sur.

The 36-year-old suspect was found in possession of around 50 grams of suspected shabu amounting to P340,000.

“Dati na siyang may previous case sa illegal drugs din also, nakatakas lang ito during the buy bust operation some time [in] July last year. Maganda ito at na-timingan siya ngayon,” PLTCOL. Chester Pomar, the Public Information Officer of NCPO, said.

A street-level individual allegedly involved in drug trade from Barangay Kinale, Polangui, Albay was also arrested during the operation.

Meanwhile, in Daet, Camarines Norte, authorities arrested four individuals during a raid on a drug den in Barangay Cobangbang. 

Around 16 grams of suspected shabu valued at P108,800 were seized during the operation.

In Gubat, Sorsogon, a man was arrested in Barangay Luna Candol, where authorities confiscated P350,000 worth of shabu.

All suspects are currently in custody pending further investigation and legal proceedings.

A week ago, authorities intercepted a shipment of suspected shabu worth P204,000 at the Albay Provincial Jail, allegedly smuggled into the facility by an inmate.

Investigations into these incidents are ongoing, as of this writing.
