A Philippine cobra was found by a teacher inside a classroom at Dapdap Integrated School in Tayabas City, Quezon.
Fortunately, no classes were scheduled that day.
Upon the sighting of the cobra, several personnel from the Tayabas City Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO) immediately responded to rescue the snake.
Authorities believe that the snake emerged from its habitat due to the hot weather.
The school administration assured the public that the school premises will be cleaned thoroughly.
Authorities continue to remind the public that the hunting, collecting, and ownership of any type of wildlife are prohibited under Republic Act No. 9147, also known as the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act of 2001.
