The driver of a passenger bus died when the vehicle crashed into two houses and rammed into a tree on the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Ibabang Palsabangon in Pagbilao, Quezon.
Based on police investigation, the bus driver failed to navigate a curved portion of the road, which led to the accident.
The bus also hit a tricycle and motorcycle parked in the area.
The front portion of the bus was damaged severely.
Eight passengers on board the bus sustained injuries. A woman who owns one of the houses struck by the bus was also injured.
All those injured were brought to a hospital in Lucena City, Quezon.
The bus company assured it will cover the medical expenses of the passengers injured and facilitate the repair of the properties damaged.
