A total of nine houses were destroyed while two were damaged partially in a fire that broke out in Baguio City on April 13, 2024 and in Cebu City on April 15, 2024.

At least seven houses were destroyed in a fire in Purok 3, MRR Queen of Peace, Baguio City.

More than 10 fire trucks and water delivery trucks collaborated to extinguish the fire, which started at around 5 a.m. 

It was put out three hours later. 

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, the fire may have originated from a gadget that was being charged. 

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said that around 112 individuals were affected by the fire, including a woman who suffered minor burns.

The Baguio Local Government Unit and Department of Social Welfare and Development gave food, water, clothing, and financial assistance to the fire victims. 

Meanwhile, a dawn fire in M. Velez Street, Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City destroyed two houses and damaged partially another two houses. 

The fire broke out at 3:16 a.m. and was put out completely at past 6 a.m.  

The fire incident left an estimated P12 million in damages. 

As of this posting, the Cebu City Fire Office is yet to determine the cause of the fire.
