A portion of the road in Sitio Libud, Tagbaobo, Samal Island is closed temporarily following a landslide.
As of this writing, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) continues to monitor the situation as soil continues to roll down the cliff, a day after the landslide occured on April 15, 2024.
According to the CDRRMO, the recent earthquake may have caused the incident. Clearing operation will start once the area is already safe.
At present, motorists going to Barangay Pangubatan are advised to take the alternative route in Tagbaobo via Sitio Buli Road, passing through San Isidro, Kaputian going to Sion Road.
Authorities warned the public from entering the area to prevent accidents.
