While the Philippine is experiencing sweltering heat, generally, heavy rain poured in Barangay Bora, Tarlac City afternoon on April 23, 2024 and with it fell hail.

The hailstorm was captured in a video uploaded by a local resident.

The uploader also recorded the aftermath, revealing damaged crops due to the hailstorm.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), hailstorms occur during thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the weather forecast warns of widespread rain across Luzon and Mindanao due to the prevailing Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) in southern Mindanao.

The ITCZ brings thick clouds formed by the convergence of winds from the northern and southern hemispheres.

MetraWeather's rainfall forecast indicates heavy to intense rains in several parts of the country, particularly in Luzon and Mindanao, which may trigger flooding or landslides.
