The local government is eyeing charges against those who may be found responsible for the grass fire that razed hectares in Delfin Albano, Isabela on April 22, 2024.
Drone footage from the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) - Cabagan shows the vast area consumed by the fire. The extent of damage is still being determined, as of this writing.
The National Greening Program (NGP) spans approximately 600 hectares in the area, and authorities are still determining the exact area affected by the fire.
The LGU is determined to pursue legal action against those proven to be responsible for the incident.
This incident marks the largest grass fire incident to occur in the town of Delfin Albano.
