Panabo, Davao del Norte Mayor Jose Relampagos has ordered the police to tighten security in the city after a grenade thrown into a truck exploded and killed one passenger.
The incident happened evening on April 24, 2024, Wednesday, as the truck was traversing the national highway in Barangay JP Laurel.
The explosion that followed killed the woman on board and injured the driver.
The driver is now in safe condition.
According to the Panabo City Information Office, investigators are looking into personal grudge as possible motive.
