A 50-year-old man in Dalaguete town, southern Cebu Province was arrested for faking allegedly his credentials to get a job as a rural health doctor.

The man who is reportedly a licensed teacher pretended to be a medical practitioner and applied at the Municipality of Dalaguete for the position of Rural Health Physician using bogus credentials. 

He was accepted reportedly for the job using counterfeit academic and training credentials he pretended to have obtained from reputable schools in the Philippines and in London.

However, he was arrested after authorities confirmed that the documents are fake. 

The suspect is facing charges for usurpation of authority or official functions which penalize individuals who falsely represent themselves as government officials or perform acts without lawful entitlement.
