A fire broke out at the base of Mayon Volcano in Albay afternoon on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Due to the hot weather, the fire continued to spread and, as this writing, has not been extinguished completely.
Aside from grass, crops and trees have also been affected.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) are conducting investigations to determine the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
