The number of dengue cases in Koronadal City has reached 213 from January to April 6, 2024.
According to the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU), cases have increased by 72 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
The barangays that logged the most number of cases are Topland with 30; Zone IV with 27; Sta. Cruz with 21; GPS with 17, Zone III with 14; Sto. Niño with 13; and Morales with 11. Deaths due to dengue were also reported in Barangays Carpenter Hill and Magsaysay.
The City Health Office urged the public to maintain cleanliness to prevent spread of dengue-carrying mosquitoes.
