A man died after his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle, and was hit by two tricycles and a multipurpose vehicle in Calasiao, Pangasinan.

In a closed circuit television (CCTV) footage, the victim’s motorcycle attempted to overtake a tricycle along Barangay Bued, but collided with an oncoming motorcycle.

The victim was then struck by two approaching tricycles and a multipurpose vehicle. 

One of the tricycles overturned after hitting the victim.

The 28-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Police said the victim was under the influence of alcohol.

“Yung victim one is naka-helmet, yung victim twe, [yung namatay], is under the influence of liquor, yung umagaw ng linya is nakainom,” PLTCOL Ferdinand Lopez, Chief of the Calasiao Police Station, said.

The family of the deceased declined to give a statement, while the rider of the other motorcycle involved in the collision remains in critical condition.

Authorities continue to coordinate with the families of those involved in the accident, as of this writing.

Police advised motorists to be careful especially in accident-prone areas like Barangay Bued.

“Barangay Bued is [an] accident prone area, [so] laging magingat tayo sa pagmamaneho lalo na sa madaling araw, mag ingat lang tayo,” Lopez said.
