It has been almost two months since a man died in a hit-and-run incident on the national highway in Pili, Camarines Sur, and his family is still seeking justice, as of this writing.

The victim was identified as Edgar Cernechez, 58.

The victim’s family shared closed circuit television (CCTV) footage on social media showing a tricycle being hit by a pickup truck and then colliding with a van on the national highway in Barangay Cadlan.

The driver of the pickup fled the scene, leaving behind Cernechez who died later.

Nearly two months since the incident, Cernechez’ family has yet to see justice.

According to the Pili Municipal Police Station, identifying the driver of the pickup truck remains a priority in their investigation.

Although CCTV footage captured the incident, the license plate of the fleeing vehicle could not be identified due to the poor quality of the video.

Efforts continue to locate the driver.

The victim's family is determined to file charges against the driver of the pickup truck.

Delma hoped that someone might have dashcam footage of the accident, and appealed to cooperate with authorities.
