Up to 26 individuals were injured in a collision between a passenger jeepney and a van in Barangay Batang Pamplona, Camarines Sur, early morning of May 1, 2024.
“Ini’yong Toyota Hiace Van pasiring kuta nang Manila, ngunyan nag-encroach siya sa linya kaini’yong jeep kaya nagka head-on-collision [sinda]," PMSG Ryan Sabater, the Investigator-on-Case from the Pamplona Municipal Police Station (MPS).
Due to the impact, the front portion of the jeepney incurred severe damage.
The individuals injured, including passengers and the van driver, are receiving treatment at the hospital, as of this writing.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) now just await charges in order for them to investigate the incident further.
