A policeman in Iloilo was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital after he figured in a motorcycle accident.

Police Major Sullen Domingo, chief of the Logistics and Supply Office at the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), was killed in a motorcycle crash at the Diversion Road in Barangay Sambag, district of Jaro, Iloilo City in the afternoon of May 10, 2024.

According to an investigation of the Iloilo City Police Office Traffic Enforcement Unit, the policeman was driving speedily and lost control of his motorcycle when he hit a 19-year-old student at a pedestrian lane.

The motorcycle crashed onto a street lamppost and threw the policeman off his seat to the pavement. He sustained a fatal wound on his head.

The Police Regional Office 6 and the IPPO have extended their deepest sympathy to the family and relatives of Major Domingo.

Meanwhile, the student hit by the motorcycle is recuperating from the accident, as of this writing.
