The Mainit Lake Sandbar in Barangay San Francisco, Mainit, Surigao del Norte is closed temporarily to the public.
This is to set the implementing rules and guidelines to ensure the tourist spot is maintained and preserved.
According to the Mainit Tourism Information Office, efforts will be made to safeguard the natural habitat, protect local wildlife, and promote sustainable tourism practices during the closure.
“We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to preserve this unique and valuable ecosystem for future generations,” Mainit Tourism Information Office said.
