A 28-year-old laborer was stabbed to death by two co-workers in Barangay Poblacion, Ibaan, Batangas.

According to the police, the victim was drinking with the suspects before the incident.

“Prior po sa insidente meron na pong pagtatalo [sila] with regards sa trabaho — ’yung ating mga suspek at victim — dahil na rin po ng impluwensiya ng alak kaya po naggawa 'yun [ng mga suspek],” PMAJ. Janver Cabataña, Chief of Ibaan Police Station, said.

The victim was asleep reportedly when one of the suspects attacked him with an unidentified sharp weapon. The suspects then took the victim's body to a stream nearby.

Both suspects were arrested during a hot pursuit operation.

“‘Yung isa po ay nagsabi po na naggawa nila 'yung [krimen]. [Yung] isa naman po ay dine-deny [yung krimen], pero dahil nga po dahil nga po sila'y magkasama, na-found out po namin na accomplice po 'yung isa,” Cabataña said.
