A funeral parlor in Cabatuan town, Province of Iloilo was hit by a fire at dawn on May 16, 2024.
The fire started reportedly in a room where human cadavers are placed set for embalming.
According to Cabatuan Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire struck at around 4 a.m.
The said room was damaged partially.
A cadaver was exposed to the fire. The body sustained first-degree burns, according to Cabatuan BFP.
The fire was placed under control immediately.
Damage reached an estimated P120,000.
As of posting time, the fire bureau is yet to release a report on the cause of the fire.
