The Municipality of Guiuan in the Province of Eastern Samar logged 51°C heat index on May 20, 2024 and was expected to experience 50°C on May 21, 2024 considered as dangerous heat levels.
Heat levels beyond 51°C are already considered extreme danger level, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.
Roxas City in the Province of Capiz logged 47°C on May 20, 2024 while Iloilo City was exposed to 45°C punishing heat.
