Following the severe impact of Typhoon Aghon, areas in the First and Second districts of Quezon province have been placed under a state of calamity.

The following areas are under state of calamity:

FIRST DISTRICT:

  • Tayabas City, 
  • Pagbilao, 
  • Lucban, 
  • Sampaloc, 
  • Real, 
  • Mauban, 
  • Infanta, 
  • General Nakar, 
  • Polillo, 
  • Panukulan, 
  • Burdeos, 
  • Patnanungan; and,
  • Jomalig.

SECOND DISTRICT:

  • Lucena City, 
  • Sariaya, 
  • Candelaria, 
  • Dolores, 
  • San Antonio; and,
  • Tiaong.

According to the Quezon Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), over 3,600 families or more than 15,000 individuals, have been affected by the flooding in the province.

The flooding in various areas of the province has subsided, largely, as of this writing.

The provincial government continues its assessment to determine the extent of damage caused by Typhoon Aghon to agriculture and infrastructure.
