A bus owned by the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) figured in an accident in Tugbok District, Davao City.

Police said the bus was heading to Calinan Proper when it rammed into a house and a vehicle parked nearby upon reaching Purok 10-B in Barangay Los Amigos in Tugbok District.

KOJC legal counsel, Atty. Israelito Torreon, said the driver reportedly lacked sleep and may have lost control of the vehicle. 

“Bus po yun ng The Kingdom of Jesus Christ The Name Above Every Name. May mga members kasi sila pastor na galing downtown at kailangang maaga papunta doon sa prayer mountain. Nawalan ata ng (control) kasi walang tulog ata yung drayber,” Torreon said.

No one was hurt in the incident but the house and the two vehicles were damaged. The bus driver was taken into police custody and did not issue a statement.

Meanwhile, a man and his two-year-old child died after they figured in an accident in Ma-a, Davao City while traveling on their motorcycle. Their female companion ended up in critical condition. 

Investigation showed that the motorcycle hit the rear bumper of a bus when the bus made a turn.

The bus driver was taken into police custody while investigation into the incident is ongoing.
