A male rider and his female backride died when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a passenger bus on the National Highway in Bula, Camarines Sur.
Based on police investigation, the motorcycle was headed to Baao while the bus was headed to Naga City. The bus entered the opposite lane reportedly, leading to the collision.
The impact threw the victim off the motorcycle and they reportedly hit a mother and son standing on the side of the street.
The mother and child sustained injuries and were brought to hospital.
"Natamaan sinda kan tao, pagtama kan tao nakatalsik man ang aki ko," Jonathan Boreta, the husband of the bystander, said.
The bus driver is now in the custody of the Bula Municipal Police Station.
