Residents were startled after an alleged rebel group allegedly peppered with gunfire and threw explosives at a 'Revitalized Police Station sa Barangay' (R-PSB) at the back of the barangay hall in Daguit, Labo, Camarines Norte.

The gunfire and explosions reportedly lasted for more than an hour.

No casualties were reported among the authorities and residents.

Upon learning of the incident, the police responded to the scene immediately and established checkpoints in various locations near the affected barangay.

Authorities are conducting clearing operations in the area where the incident took place, as of this writing.

Authorities assured the public of their safety in the province.

"Yung putok is nanggaling dun sa taas ng likod ng barangay hall, so mas mataas po [yung lupa] sa barangay hall ng Daguit," PLTCOL. Augusto Manila, Officer in Charge of Labo Municipal Police Station, said.
