Two women were stabbed by men who allegedly tried to rape them in separate incidents in Batangas and Bukidnon. 

in Batangas, the woman, 23, was found bloodied and unconscious inside her rented house in Barangay Sta. Anastacia, Sto. Tomas City.

Based on police investigation, the suspect attacked the victim in the bathroom located outside her rented home. He allegedly hit her in the head with a monobloc chair then dragged her into a room where she reportedly fought back.

"So noong nandoon na po sa loob ng kwarto, lumaban po siya doon sa suspek. Ang ginawa po nu’ng suspek ay mayroon siyang traditional knife, ‘yun ang ginamit niya kasi nagre-resist nga po siya – lumalaban siya doon sa suspek," PMaj. Emil Mendoza, Deputy Chief of the Sto. Tomas City Police, said.

The victim's partner was at work when the incident occured.

The victim has returned home and is now in stable condition.

The suspect, a neighbor of the victim, is being pursued by the police, as of this writing.

Mendoza urged residents to stay vigilant.

"Palagi kayong maging mapagmatiyag sa inyong lugar, at kung mayroon man pong lumalabag o gumagawa ng krimen sa inyong lugar ay i-report ‘nyo kaagad sa kapulisan para agad nating maaksyunan," he said.

In Bukidnon, the 19-year-old victim in Malaybalay City met the suspect on social media who reportedly promised her a job. 

When they met, the suspect brought to her a grassy area where he allegedly tried to rape her. When she fought back, he stabbed her several times. The victim sustained wounds in different parts of her body. 

Police said a tricycle driver rescued the victim at a remote area in Barangay Jose.

The victim is recuperating in the hospital, as of this writing, and the police are hunting the suspect down.
