A woman in Cagayan de Oro died after she fell from the motorcycle she and her husband were riding, and got hit by a truck.

The incident happened in front of a police station in Barangay Puerto, and was captured by CCTV camera.

Police said the motorcycle allegedly pulled to a stop abruptly and the woman was thrown off to the ground, and was hit by the truck. 

The woman died shortly after being rushed to the hospital due to severe head injuries.

“So ilang gi-first aid ug gidala ang magtiayon sa CUMC Medical Hospital, ug ang driver sa truck, atong gi-self keeping dinhi sa Police Station 6 Puerto,” Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) Traffic Investigator, Corporal Frederick Von Cajuelan, said.

The owner of the truck, Engracio Laguyan, said it was the first time the driver figured in an accident. He said he is open and ready for any agreement or settlement.

“Mangayo mi og despensa gamay kay tungod sa hitabo wala mi magtuo nga duna diay aksidente nga nahitabo sa akong truck. So wala gyud namo natuyo ang insidente pero andam mi muhatag sa among gamay nga hinabang,” Laguyan said.
