On June 3, 2024, a Filipina contacted the Tanauan Component City Police Station to report the alleged abduction of her 38-year-old Chinese live-in partner by four fellow Chinese nationals.
Based on police investigation, the victim was seen walking towards his car after having dinner at a friend’s house in Sto. Tomas City, when he was allegedly kidnapped by the suspects.
He was reportedly on his way back to Tanauan City, Batangas.
It was the victim’s friend who informed his live-in partner about the alleged abduction.
Rodel Ban-o, Acting Chief, Sto. Tomas Component City Police Station, said.
Closed circuit television (CCTV) footage captured a black sports utility vehicle (SUV) speeding away from Sto. Tomas City, which is believed to be the vehicle used to transport the victim.
The police are conducting a follow-up investigation to identify those responsible for the kidnapping and hope to find the abducted individual safe.
