A truck driver is appealing for the return of parcels that went missing after they were strewn onto the street when the truck crashed into a meat shop in Pamplona, Camarines Sur.
The incident occurred when the delivery truck attempted to avoid a collision with an oncoming truck, causing it to hit an acacia tree and then crash into a meat shop along the national highway in Barangay San Ramon.
The impact of the crash damaged the truck's trailer and caused significant disruption to traffic.
Revo Lin, the truck driver, said they were headed to Metro Manila from Tacloban, carrying various parcels.
It was later discovered that some parcels were stolen by unidentified individuals during the commotion.
Lin pleaded for the return of the stolen items.
"Charge po yan samin. Sana ibalik niyo kasi hindi naman sainyo yan. Ano lang tayo – pararehas naman tayong tao, parehas lang tayo Pilipino eh [kaya] ibigay nyo," he said.
Authorities are waiting to see if the driver will file a formal complaint against those who took the parcels.
They also advised motorists to be extra cautious.
