Up to 11 houses made of light materials were razed by fire in Barangay Caranglaan, Dagupan City.

With their homes burned to the ground, residents later salvaged what they could, that they could sell even to junk shops. Several motorcycles and sidecars were also affected by the blaze.

One of those who lost her home and vehicle is Susan Cabanyas.

The fire was believed to have started at the house of Vicky Beton, which has also turned to ashes.

Aside from the local government, other private groups have also helped the fire victims.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has not issued a statement, as of this writing, pending investigation into the blaze.
