Water supply in Zamboanga City is slowly going back to normal as rain starts to pour in the city.
According to the Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD), the water level at the treatment plant already reached 72.22 meters on Friday, June 14, 2024.
With this, ZCWD can now produce up to 58 to 60 million liters per day.
It is not all good news, however, as the rainy season may also cause high water turbidity, which will possibly result in low production level at the water treatment plant.
Water rationing will continue in the city’s east coast while water supply for the central business district is still sufficient.
“It does not mean na mataas ang water level is mataas ang production. Although we did not declare to terminate or lift the water rationing, pero ang mga barbula natin sa mga distribution network nag-oopen, naa na tay supply,” ZCWD Acting General Manager, Reynaldo Cabilin, said.
