A 62-year-old woman died after she was hit by a car along the Maharlika Highway in Pamplona, Camarines Sur.
According to the woman’s daughter, her mother was crossing the road when she was struck by a speeding vehicle heading towards Libmanan.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud crash at the time of the incident.
"Nagkalabog po siya, pagkalabog po nahiling ko taho na palan si nabangga pagkatapos kaskason po si awto," Ailene Llanes, a witness, said.
According to the police, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a rice warehouse after hitting the woman.
Michael Vincent Fortunado, Chief of Police of Pamplona Municipal Police Station (MPS), said.
The driver sustained minor injuries, while its six passengers were unharmed.
The families involved have reportedly reached an agreement, and no charges were filed.
