Several individuals were thrown onto the road when four vehicles figured in an accident in Barangay Papagueyan, Binmaley, Pangasinan.

According to police investigation, the accident occurred when a speeding tricycle attempted to overtake. Instead, it hit a tricycle carrying five passengers.

"On the process of overtake sana, [pero] nagpreno ang nasa harapan kaya napitik niya. ‘Yan ang cause kaya napunta sa kabilang linya ng kalsada," PEMS Crisante Mendones, Chief Investigator of Binmaley Police Station, said.

The impact caused the second tricycle driver to lose control, hitting a car.

The first speeding tricycle also grazed a third tricycle.

At least 12 individuals sustained injuries in the accident. The occupants of the car were unharmed.

Based on police investigation, all tricycle drivers were drunk during the time of the incident.

Those involved in the accident have already discussed the matter initially.
