Mayor Nelson Legacion of Naga City, Camarines Sur has alerted the public about a fraudulent social media account using his name and photo.
The account reportedly sends messages to individuals promising a job with a salary as high as P30,000 per month.
Legacion said he does not engage in any financial transactions or promises online.
“Nais ko pong ipagbigay alam sa lahat na hindi po akin ang account na ito nangangako ng pera o trabaho. Dalawa lamang po ang aking opisyal na accounts sa Facebook,” he said.
All official actions and assistance provided by his office are coordinated through proper channels.
